So it is exactly 1 week until I leave for Paris, France for the summer. So with the 7 days I have left in Texas, I need to be learning French. This is because right now all I know is "Bonjour" and "Merci" and this will not get me too far... I have been practicing (very little) on the Rosetta Stone but it's just so hard to stay inside on a computer when the weather is so gorgeous outside right now and laying out seems like a better option. Luckily the 2 classes I will be taking are taught in English but the rest of the city prefers French, even if they do know English. So hopefully, I will start getting more anxious this week, buckle down, and learn some basic conversation sentences.
I went shopping yesterday with my mom and picked up a few basics from Gap... of course. We were told not to wear shorts or T-shirts so this means lots of basic skirts, tanks, sweaters, anything I can layer. I've also been checking the weather in Paris daily and it looks to be in the mid 70's so perfect weather, but NOT my usual blazing Texas heat. I will be traveling to various countries in Europe during the weekends and then to London & Ireland for a week after my program ends. This means different weather changes and therefore, several clothing options.
I will post regularly on this blog with pictures and updates on my adventures. Hopefully I will be able to update every 2-3 days to keep everyone posted!
